Data-driven Development

Let the Test & Train Sports EcoSystem be your resource for the best possible approach to athlete health, wellness and performance enhancement.

The training process starts with the Peak Performance Network Athlete Management System, which delivers each athlete’s unique training programs through a mobile app. Athletes can use the app to view and log their assigned exercises.

Using G8Way Max movement, mobility, flexibility and incorporating protocols from the Latella Neuromuscular Training System, each athlete and team member’s potential and preparedness are both mapped and optimized.

Values

Mission

To change and improve the world through athletics.

“To improve is to change; to perfect is to change often.”– Winston Churchill –
Philosophy

Learn and teach life lessons with mindfulness, constant and continual improvement; getting a little better than yesterday.

“If you can’t explain it to a six-year-old; then you don’t understand it yourself.”
– Albert Einstein
Credo

“I understand that I will never know everything about baseball or life.

What I do know is I owe my life to this game. Baseball has given me some of the most significant moments and sparked most of the joy that has come my way.

This game has positioned me to act on countless opportunities to better myself and those around me. I have built lifelong relationships and seen the world through cultures and people that I never imagined.

My goal is to give back everything this game has taught me to as many young players and coaches as possible. Keeping the constant learning cycle going.”

– N.A. Holmes II –

GRASSROOT AND ASSOCIATIONS

Matt Colbourne

I had the pleasure of working alongside Coach Nick for a summer while he was in Corner Brook, Newfoundland.

Nick is a proponent of coaching the coaches who work under him, so that his entire team is knowledgable, prepared, and actively working towards the same goal. As a coach myself, I envy Nick’s ability to get a group of loud and rambunctious children to quickly listen to what he has to say, and get his point across so easily.

Nick has no trouble coming across as an authority figure to any age group, but also knows when to effectively use his sense of humor to keep the mood light, and even get a point across. Most of all, Nick is patient, and enjoys taking the time to help players, and coaches under him get better by answering any questions they may have and as well by sharing his own professional expertise.

COLLEGE RECRUITING

Alex Sawelson

Since the start of my baseball career in little league hitting in the cages with Coach Holmes and having him as a resource throughout the beginning stages of my career was absolutely incredible. Without a doubt he played a huge role for me playing through college and beyond.

That is something I will always be thankful for.

Former Student &
Current Professional Baseball Player

Jake Berg

I was coached by Nick Holmes from the age of 6 to 16, and every step of the way he was professional, encouraging, and had mine and my family’s best interests in mind.

I can say that I would not have been able to play high level college baseball without being coached by him and his guidance. His morals and values are second to none and he emphasizes being a great human being first rather than a great baseball player. He takes a personal interest in his player’s wellbeing and he never compromised my health.

I’m proud to call him coach, and I look up to him as a role model in my life.

Hey Coach thank you for having such a positive influence on my son Matt and helping him develop both as a player and as a man.

I know he has fond memories of the time he spent in your program.

Parent of former College Player

Ethan Miller

As a coach, Nick is quick to trade in conventional methods of instruction for a more in depth breakdown of a player’s fundamentals. He’s the last person to give up on you even when you’ve given up on yourself.

CAREERS IN BASEBALL

David Keesee

Nick Holmes is one of the most real coaches I know.

Let’s be honest, there are a lot of bad coaches out there.

Over the course of my career I had hundreds of coaches. And only three of those hundreds were true baseball knowledgeable coaches that had an impact on my career. Nick Holmes is one of those coaches.

Nick inspires discipline, hard work and how to play the game of baseball the right way.

If you’re considering learning from him, don’t walk, run if you get the opportunity.

Former Professional Player
& Current Coach

Darrin O’Quinn

Nick offered a very formalized structured program we expect due to a military background. In addition to the skills of baseball Nick taught our kids to listen and respect their coaches and of course the game. Nick introduced a throwing program specifically using Jaeger bands that was instrumental in developing our pitchers in our very short baseball season. Every session started with the throwing program and a cardio – stretching session enabling our kids to run onto the field ready minimizing the risk of injury.

During game sessions Nick preached hustle on and off the field and constantly looked for coachable moments during games so that through mistakes in a game all kids learned something from their day at the field. As well the lost art of baseball iq was a major focus in our program, teaching kids the mental side of baseball to be prepared for an event before it happens.
